Sleeping in the Jeep

SPARKS!!
I’d really just like to get the freak outta here. I’ve been tryin’ to blow outta Sparks for four days now. WTF guys!! Luckily my school was super nice about it and aren’t holding my missing the first day of class against me. But I am holding it against me yet!! Was going to leave on Saturday, but I got an email from my director, saying that she needed a printed copy of my HS Transcript before I started class. Well guess what, the School Board Building is not open on a Saturday. So I had to wait around until Monday. In the meantime I discovered that my front left tire had a slow leak, so I figured come Monday I’ll run Butch Cassidy (the Jeep) on over to Allen’s Tire and get him all patched up. While there, they show me how my brakes are literally almost gone. Oh great. Okay, well, fix those too. What’s that? OH, THE POWER JUST WENT OUT!!!!???? Well, I’ll just camp out until tomorrow. The good news is that I have two new tires and new brakes. That’s always good. Since I couldn’t blow on down to Vegas yesterday I went to Starbucks to wait for the day to end and take advantage of free wifi.
Nice. I was chillin’ in there for a good two hours when some person sat down next to me, and I briefly thought, “Oh great, WTF…” but when I looked up, WHO do you suppose it was, but my favorite person del mundo DOUG SCHMIERER!!! So we got to hang and chill there until they closed down and kicked us out. We really just bumped into each other by accident, and I think he was a little put off because I suspect he wanted to read the book he had with him, but I also think he got over that pretty quick because I’m sure he was as pleased to see me as I was to see him.
“What are you gonna do tonight?” he asked me as we walked out the door.
“I’m gonna sleep in my Jeep.” I replied, “I was gonna sleep in the church since I know it’ll be open for FHE, but the church is in a shady neighborhood, so I’m gonna find a safe neighborhood and sleep in the Jeep. I don’t want my family to know that I am still in town, because they will think I am an idiot.”
He gave me a look like he thought I was a little nuts, but shrugged it off. I think he is getting used to my little quirks.

Sleeping in the Jeep is a cold business. And my hair was pretty wild this morning. And last night was a Full Moon and I was sore afraid of werewolves. And a stupid dog was howling all night, scaring me.
So hopefully NOW I can get out of town. Great, I think one of my Dad’s workers just saw me. But I don’t think he recognized me. Luck out!
